You get a story that something like Midsommer meets
Hit me up about my script to find out.
Wouldn’t it suck to live in an old timey orthodox town, where a right is just the opposite of a
left and scary demons may kill you at any moment? Let me explain:
Think of this film as comedic, in the vein of ‘What We Do In The Shadows’, with a little bit
about women, like ‘Little Women’.
It’s the year 1745, in the very fictional and painfully puritanical town of Corner Brook - a place
where demons live amongst humans, causing much strife and many, unwanted shenanigans.
ALICE, the wife of a demon hunter, just moves into town. She has always been burned by
independent thoughts and plagued ideas of feminism. As if that isn’t enough to cancel you
puritan style, she horrifically discovers that her house has been built over a demon’s lair. Soon
enough, Alice comes face to face with a fanged, horned, red demon named BABIGAIL.
Alice must kill Babigail, lest the misogynist mayor, SILAS, accuses her of demon worshiping
(which will result in death). However, Alice soon finds that demons don’t really make her life
hell - they make it one hell of a life. Demons aren’t the real enemy, just scapegoats used to scare
people into obedience. Shocking. Liberated by the progressive thoughts of independence, freewill
and equality, Alice relies on her new and secret friendship with Babigail the Demon to break the
restraints set in place by the Mayor - using much shenanigans.
